Full Terms and Conditions

  1. The Promotion is open to UK residents aged 18 years or over, holding a MasterCard card issued by a UK financial institution, excluding employees and their families of MasterCard, its agents or anyone else professionally connected with this promotion.
  2. There will be 3 separate Promotional Periods (PP). The first PP will run from 1st October until 31st October , the second from 1st November until 30th November and the third from the 1st December until 31st December 2008 inclusive. Every point of sale transaction made outside the United Kingdom in one of the PPs will automatically enter the cardholder into the prize draw in respect of the PP in which it is made.
  3. Due to international data handling and settling restrictions actual prize draws will not take place until 10 days after each promotional period end date.
  4. Start date of the first Promotional Period is 01/10/08 and closing date of the last Promotional Period is 31/12/08. Qualifying entries are those purchases made during each Promotional Period and 'No Purchase' entries received by the closing date of each Promotional Period. The Promoter cannot be held responsible for any entries lost or delayed for any reason whatsoever.
  5. Prize Fund: There are 3 Priceless Escapes each worth up to £10,000 to be fulfilled by MasterCard's travel partner Mr & Mrs Smith. Each Priceless Escape will consist of a tailor made trip for 2 people and includes travel and accommodation, spending money (maximum £500), concierge tailored Priceless experiences and travel insurance. The Promoter's consultants will work with the prize winner to agree the content of the trip subject to the above financial limit and availability.
  6. No purchase necessary (Northern Ireland Only): Send your name and address and the first six numbers of your MasterCard card number to MasterCard Priceless Escapes Promotion, PO Box 31586, London W11 4YB. Only one entry per stamped addressed envelope.
  7. Opt-out: If you make a purchase using your MasterCard card and you do not wish to be entered into the prize draw, please write to MasterCard Priceless Escapes Opt-out, PO Box 31586, London W11 4YB.
  8. Proof of posting is not proof of delivery. Promoter is not liable for lost, damaged or late postal entries.
  9. The draws will take place under independent supervision and the winners will be notified in writing within four weeks of the end of each Promotional Period. The winner will be the first entrant drawn in each draw whose name and eligibility can be verified with the entrant's issuing financial institution. The decision of the Promoter is final, and no correspondence will be entered into.
  10. Any individual's entry or win is subject to any prior agreement with his/her financial institution regarding participation in such activity.
  11. Prize winners will have four weeks from despatch of winning postal notification to acknowledge the prize. Failure to do this will result in the prize being re-drawn.
  12. The prize must be taken by 30th September 2009 (excluding Christmas, Easter and all bank holidays). Other date restrictions may apply depending on prize selected.
  13. The winner and companion will be responsible for any necessary travel permits, entry visas and inoculations. All travel, accommodation and other products and services provided to the prize winners and companions will be provided subject to the terms and conditions of each such provider. MasterCard will have no liability in relation thereto, and any dispute arising from travel, accommodation or services must be taken up with such providers.
  14. The Promoter will not be held responsible for the prize winner and/or companion not taking advantage of the prize due to health or any other reason.
  15. There is no cash or other alternative in whole or in part except that in the event of circumstances outside of its control the Promoter reserves the right to substitute the prize with one of equal or greater value. The prize must be taken by the winner in person unless otherwise agreed in writing by the Promoter.
  16. The prize winner and companion may be required to participate in related publicity.
  17. Prize Winners' details (names and counties) are available by sending a stamped SAE to MasterCard Priceless Escapes Winner, PO Box 31586, London W11 4YB after 31st January 2008.
  18. 18. Entrants' personal data are processed by the Promoter, the controller of your personal data, and also by the Promoter's agency involved in administering the Promotion. Entrants' personal data shall be processed for the purpose of your participation in the Promotion only and will only be retained as long as necessary for such purpose (i.e. until 3 months after the end of the Promotion). Entrants can request access to and/or rectification of their personal data. For these purposes entrants can contact the Promoter at the below address or by e-mailing privacy_europe@mastercard.com. By participating to the Promotion, entrants consent that their personal data may, for the same purpose as stated above, also be transferred to other entities of the MasterCard group of companies based in countries that, according to EU principles, do not provide an adequate level of protection of personal data and to Promoter's third party contractors necessary to process entrants' participation in the Promotion.
